Hornero
A management system that works the same for a clothing store, a hardware shop or a gym. One engine: what changes between trades is the data, not the program.
The problem
The average Argentine shop owner has no system: they have a notebook and a spreadsheet nobody updates.
They do not know what they sold until the till closes, they cannot trace a discrepancy to an employee or a shift, and all the knowledge lives in their head. And there is a huge price gap: at the bottom, a desktop program sold for pocket change on a marketplace; at the top, systems costing twenty times that plus monthly support. Nothing in between, and only 31% of Argentine SMBs have any digital initiative at all.
between the desktop program sold on MercadoLibre and the system above it. Hornero lives in that gap.
What it does
What the system does, point by point
It adapts to the trade without being rewritten
Each shop declares what product means to them: size and colour in a clothing store, length and material in a hardware shop. The variant matrix falls out of that on its own, and twenty garments become one hundred and sixty four real items following the size curve of the trade.
Stock with full traceability
Warehouses, movements, balances, adjustments, transfers and physical counts. The movement log is never edited or deleted: correcting means recording again, so any quantity can be traced back to its origin.
Units that convert themselves
The pipe arrives in six metre lengths and is sold by the metre, and the numbers still add up. Barcodes, variants and units of measure in the same catalogue.
Multi shop, and it installs like an app
One shop never sees another’s data, and the database itself guarantees it. An icon on the phone or desktop home screen, a window with no browser bar.
Seven demo shops with a month of real activity
Not filler data. With history you see the product that did not move all fortnight, the one that ran out on a Saturday and the count that found a discrepancy. That is what shows a shop owner the system is worth it.
What it proves
Thirteen days from zero to production, with tests running against a real database and the demo loaded.
What it does not do yet (tax invoicing, price lists, till and point of sale) already has its hook waiting in the design: adding it is adding, not rebuilding.
